Lynnae L.G. Lina

Helping families prepare their lives farms and businesses for the future is what drives Lynnae. A native of Central Minnesota, Lynnae is familiar with the farming economy and the challenges farmers and small business people face in everyday life. Helping people navigate the complexities of the legal system at difficult times in their lives is rewarding and challenging.

Lynnae practices in the areas of estate planning, probate, farm succession planning, and business and commercial law.

Both of Lynnae’s grandfathers were small family farmers in the Belgrade and Sunburg areas. Lynnae’s parents owned a small business when she was growing up. As a result, Lynnae is familiar with the challenges associated with both of these endeavors as well as the myriad of questions faced when looking to pass what you have worked so hard to build on to the next generation. Through her own life experience, she can help her clients wrestle with the “big questions” with competence and compassion. Lynnae knows how important it is for the families she assists that the efforts of one generation continue and thrive in the next.

Morris became a part of Lynnae’s life early on through the Henjum Creative Study Institute on the UMM campus. Her early experiences led to her decision to return to Morris to get her undergraduate degree. It was while attending school at UMM that she not only discovered her passion for the law, but met her future husband, Jason Lina, also an attorney at the firm.

After graduating from the University of Minnesota, Morris, Lynnae spent a year working with the Upper Minnesota Valley Regional Development Commission in Appleton where she assisted towns and counties in the area develop comprehensive plans.
