Warrenn C. Anderson

Warrenn Anderson grew up on a farm near Echo, Minnesota, and is a graduate of Echo High School. He attended the University of Minnesota, Morris, receiving degrees in Economics and Speech. He received his law degree from William Mitchell College of Law in 1977. He was drawn back to Morris after law school and has been practicing with the current firm since 1977.

For over 30 years, Warrenn has practiced in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death, and civil litigation. Over the years, he has successfully recovered millions of dollars in compensation for his clients. While Warrenn is still passionate about representing injured clients and their families, in the last several years he has found that his negotiation skills in the personal injury area, and his general business experiences, have provided an excellent base for an emerging field of law. Recognizing that rural Minnesota presented a unique opportunity to lead in the renewable and sustainable energy industry, Warrenn has involved himself heavily in the area. He has developed an impressive list of clients in the fields of ethanol, biomass and wind energy. From business plans, corporate governance, and contract handling, to negotiating the buying and selling of entities in these areas, Warrenn has a broad base to assist clients with renewable and sustainable energy concerns.

Warrenn has also been active in his community. He was past president and board member of the West Central Educational Development Association, a lobbying group for the University of Minnesota-Morris, and is a current member of the UMM Chancellor’s Advisory Board and, Stevens Forward, an area economic development group. He served as a member for MnREM (Minnesota Renewable Energy Marketplace), a regional economic development organization for the western half of Minnesota. He has been active in the Boy Scouts of America, serving numerous leadership roles, and started and coordinated a local elementary basketball association. He is also involved in a variety of business ventures throughout the West Central Minnesota area attracting and sustaining employment and cultural amenities, including the community project to preserve the Morris Theatre.

Warrenn and his wife, Jeri, live in Morris, where she is the office manager of an environmental consulting firm. They have three adult children and five grandchildren. Warrenn enjoys reading, woodcarving, and activities that keep him outdoors.
