Jodi L. Asmus
Jodi L. Asmus is an associate attorney who joined the firm in 2017 and practices in the areas of estate planning, real estate, business law, probate and trust administration. She was born in Stevens County and grew up on a farm south of Chokio. Jodi attended the University of Saint Thomas in Saint Paul and graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Economics and minor in Legal Studies. She worked throughout law school as a clerk in both private and government sectors and received her law degree from William Mitchell College of Law in 2004.
Jodi served as judicial law clerk to the Honorable Ann L. Carrott in Douglas County. She also brings with her experience in a private law firm setting, as corporate counsel of a franchise organization and as head of compliance management within a nonprofit. Jodi is passionate about serving her clients and providing peace of mind, whether by creating a will or trust-based plan that perfectly reflects the client’s wishes or by working together to administer a loved one’s estate.
She is delighted to be back in Stevens County with her husband, Aaron, and their two children, where they are surrounded by each of their families. She enjoys volunteering in her children’s classrooms and as a Sunday school teacher. Jodi participated in Wills for Heroes® Arizona that offers estate planning services to first responder personnel and she hopes to continue this work within the Minnesota program. She also looks forward to becoming more involved in the community.
